Are you an ARTist? Want to showcase your piece of work in our one-of-a-kind ART Gallery?

Brave New Productions is proud to celebrate its 10th anniversary with ‘ART’, a Tony-Award winning comedy by Yazmina Reza (English translation by Christopher Hampton). Opening February 28th, 2013 at Theatre Ste-Catherine, ‘ART’ comes on the heels of Brave New Productions’ much praised “The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later”, and is an official event of NUIT BLANCHE, the culminating  night of the MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE festival.

In celebration of ‘ART’ and Brave New Productions’ 10th anniversary, Théâtre Ste-Catherine will be transformed into “The ‘ART’ Gallery”, with works on display from members of the cast, alumni, and selected pieces created by artists from across Canada. The gallery will be open before and after all performances of ‘ART’, and many pieces will be available for purchase as part of a silent auction.

There are three levels of participation:

1. SHOWCASE ONLY – Your art will be on display in the theatre. It will not be available for purchase.
2. SILENT AUCTION – Your art will be on display and part of a silent auction. You can set a minimum sell price on your piece. If it sells, the money is yours.
3. DONATION – Your art will be on display in the theatre and be part of a silent auction. Any money raised from the selling of your piece will be applied towards a future Brave New Production.

You get to decide which level you’d like to participate at and each level comes with a unique token of our appreciation (ranging from a complimentary ticket to a BNP seasons pass) based on the number of pieces provided and their quality.

We’ve always believed in equal opportunities, so while priority will go to experienced artists we’re always eager to work with people who are creative and passionate. This is an opportunity for established artists to reach a new audience and for new artists to show off their work.

If you’re interested in participating, please contact us at [email protected]. Tell us about yourself and why you’d like to showcase in our ART Gallery.

If possible, include a photo of the piece (if already completed) as well as it’s dimensions. If the piece is in progress, please include it’s intended style and dimensions. If you would like to create something for the gallery specifically for our presentation of ‘ART’ and require assistance from our team, please outline your idea and let’s get to work!

Note: The deadline for submission is January 31st, 2013 and all pieces must be delivered to the venue on February 25th, 2013.
